Traditional Dolls with Dolores Scheffen

Join Trondëk Hwëch'in artist Dolores Scheffen in this five-day, hands-on workshop, learning how to put together a beautiful handcrafted doll of your very own, complete with their own tiny regalia. Choose from materials like beads, wool, fur and sinew to personalize your doll. Previous beading and sewing experience is required. All materials included. This workshop is open to Indigenous artists. 

The workshop will be held at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre and will run from November 25-November 29th 9:00am - 5:00pm. Lunch will be provided and COVID-19 safety measures will be in place. 

COVID-19 safety measures:
  • Tables and participants will be spaced 2m apart.
  • Sanitizers and disinfectants will be available
  • Masks are not mandatory but are recommended
  • Each participant will be given their own tools for the week to reduce use of shared surfaces
If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, have an under-lying health condition, or have travelled outside the Yukon, Nunavut, NWT, or BC in the last 14 days please withdraw from the workshop for a full refund.
