MINI PADDLE CARVING WITH VIOLET GATENSBY

In this workshop, you'll learn some of the fundamentals of wood carving, from artist Violet Gatensby. You’ll finish with a small hand carved paddle, which you can then decorate to your liking with acrylic paint, and finish by lacing it - turning it into a keychain, zipper pull, pendant, or whatever else you like.

COVID-19 safety measures

YFN Arts and the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre have taken the following precautions in efforts to keep you safe.

  • Tables and participants will be spaced 2 metres apart.
  • Sanitizers and disinfectants will be available.
  • Masks are mandatory. 
  • Each participant will be given their own tools for the weekend to reduce use of shared surfaces.

If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, have an underlying health condition, or have travelled outside the Yukon, Nunavut, NWT, or BC in the last 14 days, please withdraw from the workshop for a full refund.
